GP Health Connect proud to be officially registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in April 2017.
In April 2017, GP Health Connect was officially registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Any person (individual, partnership or organisation) who provides regulated activity in England – which the Federation does as it provides NHS services – must be registered with the CQC otherwise they commit an offence.
The Federation worked hard to obtain their registration and followed the application process closely. The CQC assess these applications and, to grant registration, they must be satisfied about the fitness and compliance with the requirements of the relevant regulations and enactments. If they aren’t satisfied, they must refuse the application!
Being officially registered means that GP Health Connect can provide a range of services for the people of Halton, the first of which is GP Extra.
